Teresa Caliari at the #ArtOfTheProtest exhibit opening
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — February 3, 2018. On Saturday local activists Teresa Caliari and Bobby Digi donned new hats – creator and curator, respectively – to produce an exhibit documenting a year of protest in New York City’s “forgotten borough”, showing that there is resistance to oppression and corruption even in Trump’s only NYC stronghold.
#TAGfotograf contributed a video to the exhibit
The exhibit features a large collection of signs, carried by protesters in 2017, and a handmaid inspired by Margaret Atwood’s tale.
The exhibit will run until February 23 at the Canvas Institute, 150 Victory Blvd, Staten Island.
Bobby Digi is the founder of the Canvas Institute.
